VETERANS' TIME TRIALS ASSOCIATION
WESSEX GROUP
25-mile TT 10 May 2009
As in previous years this was incorporated in the Andover Wheelers Open event on Sunday 10th May. Of the 56 solo entries 43 were Veterans with 18 Group members contesting the championship.Early starters had the best of the weather conditions since the light breeze strengthened as the morning progressed. Ray Hughes was last rider on the card and was the second fastest time of the day behind Paul Jones, Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers, off 10 minutes in front of him who recorded an excellent time of 52.45. The team award went to the Sotonia (Alan Sharpen, Chris Summers & David Kimber) whose combined plus was 21.40.
